SPECTRAL EVIDENCE
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Friday, August 22
EXHIBITION: Saturday, September 20 - Sunday, December 17
Inspired by the historical idea of spectral evidence—where visions and dreams were accepted as legal proof—this show examines the tension between belief and reality, paranoia and truth. The artworks in this show blur the line between what’s real and what’s imagined. During the course of the exhibition's run, the Millspace will host a variety of community events including theatrical productions of The Rocky Horror Show and The Crucible.
Important dates:
Friday, August 22: Submit up to three pieces of art by completing the art submission form, which includes comprehensive details about the exhibit, and paying the $15 submission fee.
Monday, August 25: Artists hear back about the submissions.
Sunday, September 14: From 9am to 1pm, selected works are dropped off at the Millspace and signed documentation is collected.
Saturday, September 20: Opening Reception is at 6:30pm, followed by a tie-in storytelling event, Spooky Scary Storytellers, featuring authors from around the state at 7:30pm.
